My name is EJ Santillan but I go by Mumbles. I was born and raised in Houston, Tx. I graduated from Stephen F Austin High School and currently attending Houston Community College and graduating with a degree in communications.
I have always had a passion for radio but never thought I would actually be in radio. I had an interview with Special K on November 20, 2009 for an internship. In his words "I sucked donkey balls" and he definitely didn't want to hire me. After the interview, I was waiting for the elevator when I was approached by 2 white guys. As we got in the elevator they kept asking me questions about school, work and radio. It turned out it was Ryan Chase and Producer Eric. Eric thought it was so funny that I was monotone and had to hire me, despite what Special K thought. I started my internship January 4, 2010. Since then, my life hasn't been the same.
I have met people and done things I have only dreamed about. Radio has, no doubt, changed my life. I never used to go out or party and I would always stay home and play with computers. Since radio, I have started going out, meeting new people and making memories that I will remember for ever. I have had many firsts since interning such as: going to my first club, my first plane ride, seeing blue water and eating a medium cooked hamburger. Radio is my passion and I love it. Special K, Ryan Chase, Producer Eric and Roula Christie will always have love from me because without them, I wouldn't be who I am today.
